About this free PNG & JPG to SVG Converter

Convert a PNG or JPG image into an SVG file right in your browser. Vector trace redraws your picture as real vector shapes, so logos, icons, clip art and drawings stay sharp at any size and can be edited in Illustrator, Inkscape, Figma or Canva. Exact copy keeps a photo pixel-perfect inside an SVG file.

How to use it

  1. Drag a PNG or JPG onto the box (or click to choose a file).
  2. Choose Vector trace or Exact copy.
  3. Pick a style — Logo, Drawing, Photo or Black & white — and adjust Colors and Detail while you compare the preview.
  4. Press Download SVG, or copy the SVG code.

Frequently asked questions

Is this PNG to SVG converter free?

Yes. It is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion runs inside your web browser, so your image never leaves your computer.

What is the difference between Vector trace and Exact copy?

Vector trace redraws the picture as editable vector shapes that stay sharp at any size — best for logos, icons and drawings. Exact copy places the original pixels inside an SVG file, so a photo looks exactly the same but is not made of shapes.

Which images give the best results?

Images with flat colors and clear edges — logos, icons, cartoons, line art and text — trace best. Photos and soft 3D gradients need more colors, or use Exact copy.

Can I make the background transparent?

Yes. Turn on "Make white background transparent" and white areas are removed from the SVG.

Can I edit the SVG afterwards?

Yes. Vector-traced SVG files open in Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, Figma, Canva and most design tools, where every shape can be recolored or moved.
