Image to Text

Copy the words from a photo, screenshot, poster or slide — or let the AI describe what is in the picture.

🔒 Everything happens inside your browser — your picture is never uploaded. The AI model (about 210–270 MB) downloads once and is then saved for next time.

Powered by Microsoft Florence-2, running privately in your browser.

Which languages can it read?

It reads printed English and other Latin-alphabet text best. Korean, Chinese and other scripts are not supported yet.

Can it read handwriting?

Neat handwriting sometimes works, but printed text gives the best results.

How do I get better results?

Crop the picture close to the words, keep the text straight and sharp, and photograph a long page one part at a time.

What is alt text?

Alt text is a short description of a picture that screen readers read aloud and search engines use. Short caption writes one for you.
